Arizona Sunshine 2 Quest 3 Update
With an emphasis on the current gameplay, Quest 3 has undergone a significant visual makeover. Every significant texture has also been enhanced, with Buddy receiving some much-needed fuzzy fur in addition to reworks of the majority of the particle effects! The most requested quality-of-life features have also been diligently implemented and are now accessible across all platforms. You’ll be able to use the traditional Arizona Sunshine 1 reload, carry more than two grenades, and benefit from better belt and holster calibration!
Quest 3
Here are all the patch notes affecting Quest 3:
- The zombie graphics were greatly enhanced by the addition of better models and shading.
- Buddy, weapons, and player hands now have better shading and 4K textures.
- Enhanced the quality of the most well-known visual effects, like impact particles and blood.
- The game now runs at a higher resolution natively and the render scale has been increased in comparison to Quest 2.
- Buddy now has full fur support, which makes him an even cuddlier friend.

Fixes & Tweaks
- You can now automatically reload a gun by bringing it to your belt using the ‘Easy Reload‘ feature. This has to be toggled on from the settings menu.
- Now enjoy a post-credits scene where you enjoy the Arizonian sunset while playing fetch with Buddy.
- There’s now a fix for the “Well That Was Easy!” achievement.
- Buddy’s front holsters can now store grenades as well as weapons. On top of that, Buddy will now have 2 additional back holsters that exclusively store grenades.
- You can now disable the blood overlay from your settings.
- The volume size of zombies has now been reduced.
- There’s now a better feel to gunplay in the game with the introduction of muzzle smoke FX to all guns.
- Decreased the visual problems that surfaced during the mid-animation of Buddy’s zombie attack.
- A single-player horde match’s first round does not always feature fixed ammunition now.
- Installed a shotgun pump lock to stop you from inadvertently firing rounds.
- A bug that caused grenades to occasionally scale to minuscule sizes has been fixed.
- Fixed a bug that caused the screen to become darker when the gamma was increased due to an inverted gamma setting.
- Included a gamma calibration screen that you can adjust to your preference when the game first launches.
- Fixed a glitch where, when the controllers were held closely together, the gun would rotate on the incorrect axis.
- Decreased the snapping that occurred when you grasped a weapon with both hands, which improved the fluidity of the gunplay.
- Enhanced the calibration of the belt and holster. They’ve both been made simpler and come with previews so you can fine-tune them to your preferences.
- Added adjustable offsets for your hand’s yaw and pitch, so you can customize the angle at which you hold objects!
- Most tutorials have been updated, and a few new ones for previously undocumented features have been added.
- Added a ragdoll arm at the beginning so you could move the helicopter pilot around!
- Repaired the issue where the remote player’s ragdoll would fly off every time a zombie killed them.
- Reduced the possibility of the game crashing after several hours of playtime without taking off the headset.
- A few instances where you might unintentionally discard your weapons while looting has been fixed.
- The “Unstuck Button” has been added, allowing you to teleport to a legitimate location if you are too far from the playspace’s center.
- Increased the VoIP volume (especially for Quest 3), which improved mutual hearing when utilizing the in-game chat feature.
- Added the ability to pass through locked doors while grasping the handle.
- Resolved the situation where mines would detonate upon coming into contact with dead bodies or limbs.
- Every time you pet Buddy, there’s an added rumble that intensifies according to how quickly you rub.
- Every time you hover over or click on anything in the user interface, haptic clicks have been added.
- Not all fixed Molotov explosions occur when they strike a surface at a specific angle.
- A few cases where the flashlight wouldn’t turn on after restarting were fixed.
- Some checkpoints that prevented you from progressing and respawned you at the beginning of the level have been fixed.
- A bug that allowed the shotgun to hold an endless number of shells was fixed when it was given to another player.
- Repaired the alarm so that it would no longer sound in the “RUN, LEGS, RUN!!” level after resurfacing.
